Ragga Artist, Swaggaman Pours Encomium On New Management of Calabar Carnival Village.

Calabar Festival may have come and gone but the mark in the sands of time will still remain. Through out the years Calabar Entertainment Industry were under the term which is referred to Gnashing of Teeth.

The entertainers thought the administration of Governor Ben Ayade doesn’t like the music artist as some of the performing artist were said to be on Cross River State Government blacklist.

Some pragmatic and dogged voices began to have their way on social media, print and the electronic media to end the callousness and ill treatment of artiste in Cross River State. The agitation by Oluwa Terry, Jeremiah Robert, Irek Dee, Fada Kane, Rawlings, Flawless Duke, Vision X Ita, Leo Ceasar and Prof. Aboki yielded a good result in 2022 as committee to oversee the performance was set up by SA to Ayade on event, Hon. Ken Aklah and SSA to Ayade on Entertainment, Mr.Noel Ukpong.

One hundred and thirty eight artist were billed to perform at different rate according to their capacity in the industry, a gesture which has never happened.

The beneficiaries took to different social media platforms to pour out their encomium on the new government in the entertainment industry through Governor Ben Ayade and Cross River Artiste Forum. Such beneficiary include Original Swaggaman who took to his Facebook to post.

and I remembered when I’d called and begged for even half of what I was given so I could add up and pay for my then expired house rent…
That Potbellied dude said that money had finished and that besides… I wasn’t billed for payment…

If I don’t say these things…
Even HEAVEN will be angry with Me…
