Popular Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck in a latest post tackles his senior colleague Eedris Abdulkareem after saying he paved the way for them in the Nigerian music industry.
Recall that Eedris Abdulkareem while on the Honest Bunch podcast asserts that he paved the way for Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy and others.
He attributed the global recognition and respect for Nigerian artists today to his rebellion against the mistreatment they faced from show promoters back in 2004, during his confrontation with American rapper 50 Cent and his G-Unit entourage in Nigeria.
During the most recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, Abdulkareem acknowledged that his rebellion had repercussions on his career. However, he remarked that it was a noble sacrifice that paved the way for the emergence of talents like Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido.
Reacting to this, rapper Odumodublvck via his official page on X tells Eedris Abdulkareem to keep quite as he averred that he never paved way for anyone.
Odumodublvck said that none of the senior colleagues paved the way for Wizkid and Burna Boy as they all hustle to get to where they are at the moment stating that individual artistes get their struggles and reality.
He noted that Eedris Abdulkareem might have inspired younger artistes, but never paved the way for anyone concluding that it is God who paved the way.
He wrote; “EVERYBODY DEY CLAIM PAVE THE WAY. EVERYBODY TRYNNA CLAIM GODS GLORY NONE OF YOU NIGGAS PAVED THE WAY FOR NO ONE. NOBODY PAVED THE WAY FOR WIZKID OR BURNA. NOBODY THEY HUSTLED. ALL OF US GET OUR INDIVIDUAL STRUGGLES AND REALITY. INSPIRED? YES. PAVED THE WAY? THATS GOD. NO HUMAN BEING IN THE HISTORY OF MUSIC HAS PAVED THE WAY FOR ODUMODUBLVCK. THATS GOD.
