Rave and Roses is better than Made in Lagos.

WiZKid released his fourth studio album on the 30th of October 2020 with guest guest features from Burna Boy, Skepta, H.E.R., Ella Mai, Tay Iwar, Projexx, Tems Naira Marley and Damian Marley.

The album, which features tracks like “Blessed” featuring Damian Marley and “No Stress,” has been climbing up the charts steadily in the US due to the massive summertime popularity of “Essence” featuring Tems.

“Essence” helped Wizkid became the first Nigerian artist to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart, breaking into the top 20.

Rave & Roses is the debut studio album by Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Rema. It was released on 25 March 2022 on Jonzing World and Mavin Records imprint. The album included guest appearances from American singers like 6lack, Chris Brown, AJ Tracey, and Yseult. The deluxe version of the album was released on 28 April 2023, renamed as Rave & Roses Ultra. 

Rema’s Rave And Roses becomes the first debut and fifth ever album by a Nigerian singer to spend 40 WEEKS on the Billboard World Albums chart.

We call "Made in Lagos" a classic because 'Essence' and 'Essence' alone, popped globally.

But we harbour a strong hesitation and opposition to calling "Rave & Roses" a classic, even though "Calm down" has done better than 'Essence' did.
