‘I Grew Up Looking Up To Nigerian Rappers’ – Nasty C



Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, Musically known as Nasty C, has revealed that he was inspired by many Nigerian rappers and Ghanaian prodigy Sakordie.

The recent interview with Afrozons has it that South African rapper Nasty C drew inspiration from rap artists in his home country, such as the late AKA & Cassper Nyovest and also his Nigerian counterpart.

The 26-year-old rapper said;

“My pioneers for hip-hop in Africa in no order are M.I, Sakordie, Olamide, Phyno AKA, Cassper [Nyovest], Naeto C… There’s so many.”

Self-styled “Coolest Kid in Africa”, Nasty C is regarded as one of the most commercially successful rappers on the continent.

He has collaborated with several Nigerians music stars like, Davido, Burna Boy and Runtown.
